Cookery Masterclasses with our award-winning chefs

Discover the culinary techniques, skills and secrets used by top chefs to create the perfect dish.

Enjoy a relaxing start to your day with tea, coffee and home made cakes & biscuits. You will then be invited in to the kitchen to learn the tricks of the trade during an hour long cookery demonstration by our award winning chefs. Following the demonstration you will be invited to a Champagne & canapes reception in our beautiful bar which precedes a bespoke lunch menu served in the restaurant with selected wines to accompany.

Masterclasses take place at 9.30am the first Wednesday of each month. Each cookery course is focused around a particular theme.

Masterclass Programmes 2012

1st February 2012 – Valentine’s Day Feast

Learn how to recreate the ultimate three course valentines feast with oyster, beef and passion fruit dishes on the menu and really impress your loved one.

7th March 2012 – Wood Oven Baked Pizzas

Discover the essentials of creating and cooking the perfect home made pizza – from lighting the oven to making the dough and sauce.

4th April 2012 – Eggs

With Easter just around the corner this demonstration is centered around eggs (of the non – chocolate variety!)

2nd May 2012 – Suckling Pig

From “Snout to Tail” this masterclass will show you how to recreate one of the restaurants most popular dishes on the menu.

6th June 2012 – BBQ – Meat

The first of our three BBQ Masterclasses. We kick off by focusing on delicious meat creations for the summer.

4th July 2012 – BBQ – Fish

Fish can sometimes be overlooked in a BBQ feast but after this Masterclass your fish dishes will never play second fiddle to meat again!

1st August 2012 – BBQ – “Smokin’!”

Our final BBQ masterclass of the summer will focus on cooking with smoke to enhance flavours.

5th September 2012 – Shellfish

Discover how to cook Fruits de Mer La Bécasse style.

3rd October 2012 – Pumpkin, Squash, Gourds

The October masterclass will focus on the seasonal produce of Pumpkin, Squash and Gourds and teach you how to create some tasty Halloween treats for your celebrations at the end of the month.

7th November 2012 – Game

We’ve set ourselves a challenge and are going to demonstrate how to prepare and cook a bird, in a bird, in a bird using Shropshire’s finest game birds (no, it’s not a typing error, you did read that right!)

5th December 2012 – Festive Canapés

Impress your family, friends and guests over the festive period by recreating the impressive looking and delicious canapés you will be taught in this masterclass.

All Masterclasses are £99 per person inclusive all refreshments & lunch as listed above unless otherwise specified.
