We cannot tell you how much we enjoyed our evening at La Becasse, it was perfect from the second the door was opened for us and our coats taken, to when it was time to leave. The food was divine in presentation and taste, service excellent with friendly staff explaining each dish and wine and the ambience was beautiful, oak beams, candlelight, beautiful tableware (the glass plates were lovely, I admitted to our waiter that I was tempted to slip one under my coat!). A wonderful dining experience that we would recommend to anyone and certainly hope to return here the next time we visit Ludlow.

Our first visit to La Becasse last Friday evening (01/02) will definitely not be our last. A first class place run by a first class team. Everything about the evening was really special and we enjoyed some truly fabulous food (we had the Gourmand menu) with excellent wines that really complimented each dish. Each course was tremendous, with lovely and intense flavours (the butternut squash dish was amazing, never imagined you could get such an intense flavour from it). All the staff were very welcoming and friendly and the service was excellent. So excellent that we have a special big thank you to pass onto the Maître D’ at La Becasse who truly went above and beyond for us that night. He was brilliant and we can’t thank him enough for taking the time and trouble, a real star.

Myself and 7 friends had the A La Carte menu at Becasse on Saturday lunch time. Between us we must have eaten in most of the supposed "best places to eat". We were all blown away by the truly outstanding meal and ambience. All the food was superbly cooked in a modern way with a clean light touch and was presented beautifully. The staff were exceptional, all were so friendly, helpful and all had that intuative way of knowing what you wanted almost before you knew yourself. One last personal thank you to the Sommelier, because at last I have found someone who knows the correct temprature to serve red and white wine. We will be back.

We dined at La Bécasse for the first time last week. We've enjoyed fine dining around the world and to find such a fantastic restaurant on your doorstep was a real pleasure. The service was excellent - though not overpowering; the food was delicious and we felt very spoiled and "special" - despite the restaurant being very busy. Thank you for making our evening so enjoyable. We'll be back!

This is a quick email to thank you very much for an extremely enjoyable visit to your restaurant this lunchtime. From being met outside the restuarant and guided to the parking to the delicious macaroons in the garden it was an exceptional afternoon. Our plates were clean on every course of the Gourmand Menu and our taste buds were tingling! The meal was a special treat for my mother's birthday and I can't wait for another special occasion to be able to come again! I wish to thank the chef for such wonderful cooking and the 'front of house' staff for their attention to detail but also their friendliness..

Just a short note to express our thanks to all at La Bécasse for making our Golden Wedding lunch on Friday last so memorable. We had expected excellent cooking, exemplary service and attention to detail and were not disappointed in any regard, but the warmth of the welcome and the individual touches that were provided made the lunch even more special and were greatly appreciated. Our grandchildren who, nominally, sent the flowers, will certainly enjoy their foil swan-encased treats. We look forward very much to making a return visit to La Becasse in the near future.

Superb Gourmand menu with friends. Wonderful flavour combinations and interesting wine pairing. Front of house staff knowledgeable and friendly. You certainly compare well with those Michelin-starred restaurants I have frequented; and I don't just mean 1* either!

Thanks to the team for such a fabulous meal. The service and general attentiveness was excellent. It made the entire evening go from being just good (as the food was, as expected, really good) to excellent. Fingers crossed we can get up to Ludlow again next year.

We booked for lunch and chose the set menu. It was just superb and outstanding value! Each of the three courses we chose was a taste sensation, and the amuse bouches and other little bites between courses just made this a wonderful meal. Service was faultless and friendly - so often rather impersonal in top restaurants - and the atmosphere in this very old building just made the whole experience one to remember and highly recommend. Truly a memorable lunch - thank you all.

What a wonderful experience. The food was delicious. We had the suprise 10 with the appropriate wines for each dish. A wonderful lunch for my husbands very special birthday. We will be returning, despite the long drive to and from home. Highly recommended.

We planned a stop at Ludlow on the way back from a business trip all because we wanted to sample Will Hollands food and tick another restaurant off our list. We were not disappointed!
Greeted by such friendly welcoming staff and seated in the bar drinking pink champagne was a great way to start the evening and mellow. We chose Wills surprise taster menu at £90 per person and this was paired with appropriate wines for £49. What a great concept, you have no idea what to expect and what is coming next and once we had confirmed we had no dietary requirements to be taken into account we just sat back and waited for each course to be described to us. I won't spoil the surprise and I am sure the surprises do change but if you are eating here I urge you to do as the menu says and be adventurous and try the surprise menu, to enjoy an experience of a lifetime.
Our bill was over £300 for the two of us taking into account the champagne, significant amount of wine and we chose to purchase a book, which led to us visiting Will in the kitchen for him to sign it. A lovely man, who cooks superbly, surrounded by amazing staff in a beautiful restaurant that is intimate, friendly and not at all intimidating as some restaurants can be.
